The Green Island (GI) community, housing 500+ migrants, is situated near a dump in Mae Sot. Most of the community engage in low-wage jobs—recycling, agriculture, factories. The community faces challenges such as no electricity, isolation and discrimination, while youth struggle to access education.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Green Island Project aims to provide weekly activities for children and young people aged 4-21, to foster personal and mental growth, address social issues, increase their career opportunities and strengthen a feeling of community. This project plays a crucial role in the children holistic development.

To enhance children’s and young people’s physical and mental well-being through educational and sports activities, including regular football training.

To foster positive moral ethics, communication, and behavior in Green Island community through activities like Movie Nights.

To enhance creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in children and youth through Art and Crafts Classes.

To boost students’ interest in education through teacher and role model motivation through initiatives like the Summer Learning Center.
